Jesuit XC Classic

The day began with me going to Haydes' apartment at the UT Southwestern Student Housing...it was nice...it was like 7:30 AM...our race was in like 30 minutes...the park was 20 minutes away.

When we got to Norbuck Park, we couldn't find parking, so we parked right behind a yellow school bus.

After this, we finally found the tent where the Alumni/Open 5K was giving out numbers for the race. The woman who handed us the numbers said, "Guys, you better hurry up...they just called the Alumni Race for the 3rd time!"

The gun said, "BAM!" and they were off. We were still in the middle of putting all our stuff on the Jesuit tarp...we scurried to the starting line and started running...

The course wasn't bad, because we had run it so many times that it was like second nature to us. However, the mud made it slippery and sloppy...it was actually challenging...

We ended up with a time of like 25 minutes for 5K... not bad considering we hadn't run a cross country race in 5 frickin' years...haha
